Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer | Pacific Gas and Electric Company
Mary King is Vice President, Human Resources, and Chief Diversity Officer for Pacific Gas and Electric Company. She oversees the talent management functions including diversity and inclusion, recruiting, workforce development, and the HR services functions including total rewards, labor relations, and HR business partners.
Mary joined PG&E in 2009 in labor relations and has held numerous leadership positions in Human Resources, leading PG&E's Recruiting department and serving as Senior Director of Human Resources Delivery. She has also served as Chief of Staff to former PG&E President Chris Johns and John Simon, then Senior Vice President, Human Resources and now Executive Vice President, Law, Strategy and Policy.
Previously, she held positions at Calpine in Middletown, California and Indianapolis Power and Light in Indiana. She began her career in the United States Army as platoon leader, executive officer and captain. While in Indiana, Mary earned a J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She holds a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York.
